This is No Surprise

South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford has skirted impeachment measures over his Argentine mistress, misuse of state planes and being absent for five days leading his staff to believe he was hiking the Appalachian Trail. He was facing over 36 ethics charges and possibly $74.000.00 in fines. Sanford will be facing the State Ethics Commission that may bring civil charges against the governor involving travel expenses and campaign money.

Many in the legislator did not think his conduct "did not rise to the level of impeachment." I guess his actions didn't meet their "high standards" for impeachment.

Really? WTF else would he have to do to meet this "high standard?"

Here is the story from The State Newspaper.
